Soothing Resistance

I’m still amazed about all the coincidence happening in my daily life. After finding my existing resistance from the incident happened a few days ago, I found a powerful method to soothing my resistance from a book, “The Greatest Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

The way of doing it is very simple. Whenever any uncomfortable emotions or physical discomfort comes up, just open your arms, you can also imagine opening your heart too, and embrace that feelings, both mental and physical. I think it’s better to do it ones feeling at a time, maybe it’s because the “getting specific” concept from EFT rooted so deep in me.

In the book, Phonda also mentioned that our minds always say “No”, but our true self, our awareness, only says “Yes” and welcomes anything. Therefore, I also added “Yes, yes, yes, yes” while I was doing this exercise and I found it worked even better when I kept saying “Yes”.

Even though embracing our unwanted feelings is not a new concept and also same as a form of mindfulness mediation I tried before, the practice method from Phonda’s book felt so different to me. Not sure it works for you but I think it’s worth to share, as well as the book. Really can’t wait for the day reaching the state of continuous peace and joy in a daily bases as the book describes.
